Position Summary:We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors to help create a fun, safe, and supportive camp environment. Camp Counselors lead and participate in daily activities, supervise campers, and serve as positive role models. This role requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and a genuine interest in working with children. Camp Counselors play a key role in ensuring campers feel included, supported, and engaged while having a memorable camp experience.<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ol><li>Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.</li><li>Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, games, enrichment, and outdoor play.</li><li>Foster a respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students.</li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.</li><li>Monitor attendance and ensure accurate daily check-in/check-out procedures.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and shared spaces.</li><li>Follow all school and program policies and procedures, including emergency protocols.</li></ol><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ol><li>High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is highly preferred.</li><li>Strong classroom management and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Passionate about working with children of various ages and backgrounds.</li><li>CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).</li><li>Must pass background checks and meet state/local licensing requirements.</li><li>Must be able to be outside in the Texas summer heat for limited periods of time.</li></ol><h3>Preferred Skills & Traits:</h3><ol><li>Creative, energetic, and adaptable</li><li>Culturally responsive and inclusive</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities</li></ol><h3>Video Portion:</h3>Please submit a short video telling us about you and why you think you would make a great addition to our Summer 360 team! We are looking for compassionate, dedicated professionals who want to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive ongoing training in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model as you work with families, youth, their communities, and other key members of their ecology to implement MST as designed. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of MST. MST therapists do whatever it takes, via close collaboration with all involved, to address the needs of juveniles with criminal offenses, including, in some cases, substance abuse. You will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 12–17 make life-transforming changes. Treatment progress is made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support, to name a few. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.</li><li>Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family’s ecological context. </li><li>Very comfortable working with a diverse community of clients.</li><li>Knowledge of the types of families in the community</li><li>Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment.</li><li>Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members.</li><li>Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model.</li><li>Assure, along with fellow clinicians, that clients have access to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week support as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Master’s Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related subject area  in social services such as psychology, social work, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention. </li><li>Professional licensure in a related field (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)</li><li>Experience in serving families in community based programs</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required</li><li>Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes</li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Strong clinical skills</li><li>Ability to adapt and individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skills.</li><li>Skill in handling multiple tasks and meeting multiple deadlines.</li><li>Valid driver’s license; maintain current insurance and registration; and have a clear driving record.</li><li>A clear result from a criminal background check.</li><li>Must live within one-hour travel time from the designated service area. </li><li>Clear drug screen results from the organization’s designated medical facility.</li></ul>#mst #mstjobs #fft #bsft #incredibleyears #pcit #therapy #therapist #clinician #socialservices #lpc-a #lpca #lcsw #lpc #lmsw #lsw #lcsw #lmft #lmhc #mentalhealthjobs #familytherapy #juvenile #evidencebased #cbt #dbt #multisystemictherapy #ebp #ebm #masterlevel #nowhiring #hiringnow #jobs #clinicaljobs #hiring #careers #childfirst #earlychildhoodPowered by JazzHR
