Responsibilities include the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of academically qualified and athletically gifted student-athletes; development of practice plans, game strategies, and competitive schedules; management of the football operating budget; support of fundraising efforts for the program and athletic department; oversight of compliance, 'life skills,' discipline, and other personal matters of the student-athletes and staff; and supervision, development, and evaluation of assistant coaches.
