The responsibilities of the Vascular Institute / Interventional Radiology RN include, but are not limited to: Assists the entire interventional radiology team in providing patient care, through the continuum of care for various diagnostic and interventional procedures; Performs assessments, obtains medical history, provides education to the patient and families about planned tests and procedures; Screens and monitors the patient throughout diagnostic procedures, initiating IV access and administering appropriate medications as per radiologist orders and protocols.
