<p>We are pleased to announce that we are seeking an experienced IT Director to join our organization.</p><h1 style="border:none;padding:0in">Position Overview</h1><p>The Director of Information Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategy, architecture, security, and day-to-day execution of all technology functions across the enterprise. This role serves as the company's top IT executive, owning infrastructure, clinical and practice management systems, cybersecurity, helpdesk, and technology integration for new acquisitions. The right candidate is equally comfortable setting a multi-year roadmap and rolling up their sleeves to solve an urgent issue at a practice level.</p><br/><h1 style="border:none;padding:0in">Key Responsibilities</h1><h2>Strategy & Leadership</h2><ul><li>Develop and execute the enterprise IT roadmap aligned to the company's growth trajectory and upcoming strategic milestones</li><li>Build, mentor, and lead an internal IT team; manage external MSPs, vendors, and implementation partners</li><li>Serve as a key partner to executive leadership and division leadership on technology investment decisions and operational priorities</li><li>Represent IT in executive discussions, including M&A due diligence and board-level reporting</li></ul><br/><h2>Infrastructure & Operations</h2><ul><li>Oversee all network infrastructure across 50+ practice locations - including connectivity, hardware standardization, and remote management</li><li>Manage cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS or similar) and ensure high availability across clinical and administrative systems</li><li>Lead hardware lifecycle management, standardization initiatives, and equipment refresh cycles across the network</li><li>Own helpdesk and end-user support operations, including SLAs, escalation protocols, and vendor relationships</li></ul><br/><h2>Practice Management & Clinical Systems</h2><ul><li>Serve as the enterprise owner for practice management software (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or equivalent) and all integrated clinical tools</li><li>Manage software licensing, version control, and vendor relationships across a multi-system environment</li><li>Partner with Revenue Cycle, Operations, and Clinical teams to optimize system workflows and reporting capabilities</li></ul><br/><h2>Cybersecurity & Compliance</h2><ul><li>Own the company's cybersecurity posture, including HIPAA compliance, endpoint security, access controls, and incident response</li><li>Conduct and maintain risk assessments; implement and enforce security policies across all locations</li><li>Manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors, conduct regular audits, and lead breach response planning</li></ul><br/><h2>M&A & Integration</h2><ul><li>Lead IT due diligence for prospective acquisitions, identifying infrastructure gaps, system compatibility, and integration cost</li><li>Execute post-close technology integration for new practice additions, including network onboarding, system migration, and user provisioning</li><li>Develop scalable playbooks for practice onboarding to support a high-velocity acquisition pipeline</li></ul><br/><h2>Vendor & Budget Management</h2><ul><li>Own the IT operating and capital budget; manage spend to targets and identify cost optimization opportunities</li><li>Negotiate and manage contracts with key technology vendors, MSPs, and SaaS providers</li><li>Evaluate and implement new platforms to support organizational scale</li></ul><br/><h1 style="border:none;padding:0in">Qualifications</h1><h2>Required</h2><ul><li>8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role</li><li>Experience supporting a multi-site, distributed organization (healthcare, DSO, retail, or similar strongly preferred)</li><li>Demonstrated track record managing infrastructure across 30+ locations</li><li>Strong working knowledge of HIPAA technical safeguards and healthcare data security requirements</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure AD, network infrastructure, and endpoint management platforms</li><li>Experience owning IT budget and vendor contract negotiations</li><li>Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical issues for non-technical executives and practice staff alike</li></ul><br/><h2>Preferred</h2><ul><li>Prior DSO, dental, or multi-site healthcare IT experience</li><li>Familiarity with dental practice management systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Carestream, Open Dental, etc.)</li><li>Experience supporting M&A activity - due diligence, integration, or platform consolidation</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, PMP) a plus</li></ul><p>This position is remote with travel as required. Corporate offices located in Sarasota, FL</p><p>Compensation will be based on experience</p>
