Our professional team enjoy a clean, climate-controlled facility managed by experienced leaders who recognize the value of a job well done.We are currently seeking to expand our team with an individual who exhibits a safety-oriented mindset and focus on accuracy and efficiency. Summary of PositionThe Helper/Packager is responsible for operation of equipment used in the packaging of products at Peak Machining Group, Inc. Responsibilities and DutiesTypical duties and responsibilities expected of the Helper/Packager include:<ul><li>Safely drive forklift and operate crane to pull and move coils and skids within warehouse.</li><li>Operate packing line conveyor to transfer coils from slitter to the banding station.</li><li>Band and package material for shipping according to customer requirements.</li><li>Assemble skids and other shipping containers as needed.</li><li>Measure dimensions and gauge material with micrometer.</li><li>Confirm material specifications on inventory tags for orders being shipped.</li><li>Stage material for shipping according to bill of ladings.</li><li>Generate inventory tags to be placed on material being received.</li><li>Enter inventory tag data into computer system.</li><li>Obtain appropriate signatures on bills of lading.</li><li>Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers and calipers.</li><li>Maintain shipping supplies.</li><li>Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.</li><li>Adhere to all company safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.</li><li>Adhere to all company handbook policies and procedures.</li></ul> These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.Required Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Computer skills necessary</li><li>Good written and oral communication skills</li><li>Good reading and math skills</li><li>Good organizational, problem solving, and time management skills</li><li>Ability to measure using different tools</li><li>Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction</li><li>Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers</li><li>Strong work ethic; self-motivated</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>One or more years of warehouse packaging experience</li></ul>Peak Machining Group offers a competitive benefits package that includes: <ul><li>401k with Company Match</li><li>Health Insurance</li><li>Dental Insurance</li><li>Vision Insurance</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Long-term disability</li><li>Short-term disability</li><li>Paid Time Off</li><li>Paid Holidays</li></ul>
