<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</strong></p><p>High School Diploma or GED Certificate.</p><p>6 - 12 months experience in Electric Construction.</p><p>6 - 12 month experience in Electrical Field.</p><p>Enrollment in the Apprenticeship Program is required in accordance with standards.</p><p>Requires a Valid Driver's License or CDL Learner's Permit, Class "A" (subject to motor vehicle review) Learners permit is to be validated to CDL license within (6) months from date of employment. <br/><br/><strong>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:</strong></p><p>Patrols electric lines.</p><p>Assists with troubleshooting service interruptions and electrical outages.</p><p>Assists in the construction, operation and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution lines under close supervision of a qualified Line Maintainer Journeyman or those of higher classification. </p><p>Assists in maintaining inventory of test equipment.</p><p>Assists in investigating customer complaints pertaining to voltage problems, required to climb poles, etc., and takes corrective action.</p><p>Climbs poles to install wires, line hardware, insulators, crossarms, wooden timbers, and any other apparatus.</p><p>Repairs electric distribution systems and substations in order to maintain service to customers.</p><p>Learns the operation of a digger truck and usage of lineman tools.</p><p>Troubleshoots overhead and underground circuits.</p><p>Assists in switching and restoring service on distribution lines and substations.</p><p>Performs other duties as assigned or requested.</p><br/><p>This announcement will be used by all NTUA Districts.
