<h2>Job Description</h2><p><strong>East Hawaii Medical Group | Medical Oncologist/Hematologist | Hilo, Hawai'i</strong><br/><br/>East Hawaii Medical Group is in search of a Medical Oncologist/Hematologists to join our East Hawai'i Medical Group Team. The hospital staff is community-oriented and strive to provide competent and compassionate care to every patient that enters our doors. It is home to the Hawaii Community College, University of Hawaii, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, excellent schools and convenient shopping.</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong> </p><ul><li>Conduct consultations with 10% hematology and 90% oncology patients </li><li>Prescribe medications, infusions, order laboratory tests/imaging and coordinate follow-up care as needed.</li><li>Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care resources</li><li>Participate in the monthly Tumor Board meetings.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.</li><li>Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. </li><li>Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.</li><li>Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education Requirements: </u></strong></p><ul><li>MD or DO</li><li>BC/BE in specialty</li></ul><p><strong>CONTACT US TO LEARN MORE:</strong></p><p>If you are passionate about Oncology and Hematology care and excited to help our organization grow its services, give us a chance to meet you by submitting your application.
