Teaching responsibilities include (a) create and distribute course syllabi which satisfy District content requirements; (b) create and deliver meaningful learning activities designed to help students successfully master course content; (c) occasionally supervise and mentor students in independent study projects; (d) be present for all scheduled class meetings; (e) maintain academic support hours to help and advise students; (f) assess student performance on learning activities and provide timely feedback to support learning; and (g) submit final letter grades by stated College due dates. Provide course leadership in the area of history, including but not limited to (a) developing, revising, and maintaining history course curriculum; (b) working with the department chair to schedule history course offerings; and (b) coordinate, evaluate, and mentor adjunct instructors in the history discipline.
