Seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach World History Survey to high school students in a dual enrollment program for Fall 2026. The position involves instructing 2 in-person sections on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 1:50 PM, with a focus on students enrolled in high school/university courses. Responsibilities include teaching 3+ credits per semester, providing office hours, following syllabi, completing assessments, and integrating core values. Candidates must have an advanced degree in History (Ph.D. preferred), demonstrated teaching excellence, experience with Blackboard, and be U.S. work authorized. Compensation is $1050 per credit. This is a part-time, non-tenure, per-semester appointment requiring willingness to complete Blackboard training. Essential for applicants to appreciate the dual enrollment student experience.

Overview:
Realize the joy of possibility by providing academic, social, and emotional services for students who need additional support to shine in school. Utilize SESI’s proven instructional models, strategies, and curriculum. Conduct frequent and appropriate assessments, use data to develop and implement instructional plans, and collaborate with school teams and families to drive outcomes.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.</li><li>Teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and provide individualized attention to meet the needs of all students.</li><li>Use assessment data to modify short- and long-term plans to promote students’ academic performance.</li><li>Develop and maintain skill-appropriate lesson plans.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to foster an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor.</li><li>Apply the school’s behavior support and intervention strategies.</li><li>Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain the safety of students and team members.</li><li>Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward goals; develop and maintain required forms and files.</li><li>Participate in the school’s daily functions (e.g., morning, lunch, afternoon supervisory duties), as well as conferences, meetings, and training.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning</li><li>Valid teaching certification required.</li><li>Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.</li><li>Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic educational environment.</li></ul>

Posted Min Pay Rate:
