Dwight Global Online School is seeking an experienced and innovative history teacher to teach a virtual class(es) in history. The exact course needs are still to be determined based on scheduling; however, the candidate could expect to teach Modern World History, Ancient World History, or United States History.  Experience teaching AP is welcomed but not required.  The ideal candidate is a flexible and innovative team player with a gift for igniting the spark of genius in online students around the world.  The person should have experience teaching history to both middle and high school students.Though this position is remote, the teacher may be located anywhere, and the teacher should be available to teach synchronous classes during the morning and evening in Eastern Time. Develops discipline-related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, college activities, and serves on committees. Maintains college and department standards in support of the Colleges mission and strategic plan.As a 168-day, tenure-track faculty member, you will be on track for a continuing contract. Faculty teach 45 points, maintain office hours, and college business hours that may include, but not limited to, serving on committees and work teams, meetings, and special projects.
