Duties and Responsibilities A selected candidate will teach one or two courses in the Department of Art and Art History. Courses are asynchronous and delivered in an accelerated 7-week format. Part-time faculty are not required to engage in research or service activities but must hold regular office hours and be available to assist students enrolled in their courses. They are expected to stay current in their fields of instruction and with pedagogical methods and instructional technologies. Online teaching requires certification and possibly training by the University. Courses are three credits. Specific Responsibilities Include: - Delivering engaging and interactive online lessons and assignments on UI Design principles, tools, and techniques through our course management platform, Brightspace. - Providing regular feedback, guidance, and mentoring support to students to facilitate their learning and skill development while conveying confidence in every students ability to learn. - Cultivating a collaborative and participatory online learning environment that values diversity of people, ideas, cultures, and forms of expression. - Evaluating student performance and progress and providing timely assessment. - Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in User Interface Design. Qualifications Required 1.
