With a 95% high school graduation rate, 100% college and postsecondary acceptance, 90%+ average daily attendance rate, 20+ enrichment offerings, and a leader among open enrollment high schools in Detroit for college matriculation (69% compared to a state average of 64%), JRLA knows the path to college and a successful future.  Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) is looking for a qualified History Teacher to provide effective and dynamic instruction to students. The ideal candidate will have a documented history of high student growth and achievement. As professionals, faculty adhere to the ethical standards of their profession as outlined, for example, by the NEA and the State of Michigan. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. They are required to be mobile around campus for participant involvement/activities. </li><li>They must be able to converse with individuals on a regular basis with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret their needs via phone conversations, face-to-face conversations, or written documentation. </li><li>The employee must be able to utilize all programs on a computer independently and efficiently (particularly the internet, productivity software such as Google Suite, and student information systems). </li><li>They must be able to present information in an instructional setting and respond to questions from groups. </li></ol> Work Schedule Faculty are required to make provisions for student consultations as may be necessary and reasonable. Additional Information Must be available to teach onsite; opportunities do not exist to teach online courses only. This is a position we anticipate filling for future semesters.
