We are looking for someone who can create an inclusive and positive learning environment where students can develop their love for history and reach their full potential. 

Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:<ul><li>Teach and plan lessons for US History/Social Studies courses for high school students.</li><li>Develop and implement engaging and interactive classroom activities and assessments to support student learning.</li><li>Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with lower academic ability.</li><li>Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching practices, set individual student goals, and provide targeted support.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in US History/Social Studies education.</li><li>Provide support and guidance to students outside of class as needed.</li><li>Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and promotes student engagement and success.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.</li></ul> 

Qualifications:

This is a part-time position (approximately 15-20 hours per week). Hours need to be worked Monday through Friday and within the window of 7:30am-6:00pm.Primary Position Responsibilities:<table><tbody><tr><td>·        Perform cataloging, classification, processing, and maintenance activities for library and archival collections.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Assist with maintaining and updating the collection management system to support accurate and complete records.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Assist with reference inquiries and research visits.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Support WLM programs and services.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Digitize collection materials and create metadata to support discovery and preservation.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Assist with scheduled inventories of library collections, rare book room collections, and archival materials.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Protect and preserve collections in accordance with best practices and organizational procedures.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Rehouse and label materials for preservation and accessibility.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Adhere to institutional policies and professional ethical standards.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Maintain collection areas in a neat and organized manner.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Ability to perform work in alignment with ASA core values: Dedication, Collaboration, Commitment to Excellence, Continuous Improvement.</td></tr></tbody></table>Position Qualifications:<table><tbody><tr><td>·        High school or vocational degree required with some experience supported by on-the-job training.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Minimum 1 year of professional training or work experience in library cataloging and knowledge of archival principles and operations.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Familiarity with digitization, cataloging workflows, metadata standards, and the born-digital archival lifecycle.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Experience working with a foundation or non-profit organization preferred.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Ability to perform repetitive work and attention to detail is necessary.</td></tr><tr><td>·        Excellent team player who fosters teamwork, personal responsibility, integrity, innovation, trust, and communication.</td></tr></tbody></table>ASA Benefits:This position is a part-time position and is benefits ineligible.ASA Compensation Philosophy:ASA conducts market analysis of its positions, ensuring the compensation is comparable with jobs of the same level, skills, and abilities.
