Job Title: Grossing Histotechnician Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA Schedule: Day shift, flexibleWeekly Estimated Pay or Pay Range: $22 to $30 per hour DOE About The Lab and Location: This well-established, multi-specialty medical practice is known for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. 	</li><li>1-3 years of grossing experience 
	</li><li>Strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills
</li></ul>Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Select and submit representative tissue sections into cassettes
	</li><li>Perform histology functions including tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy.
	</li><li>Ensure proper specimen identification, labeling, and documentation
	</li><li>Grossing of specimens
	</li><li>Receive, examine, and gross surgical pathology specimens according to established protocols
	</li><li>Maintain gross room organization, cleanliness, and instrument readiness
	</li><li>Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
	</li><li>Communicate effectively with pathologists, PAs, and laboratory staff regarding specimen needs or discrepancies
