Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Passion around serving others!</li><li>California license as a Physical Therapist or ability to obtain license.</li><li>AHA BLS required</li><li>Recent graduates and experienced Physical Therapists encouraged to apply.</li></ul>

About:

POSITION SUMMARYThe Hospital Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) who is responsible for the proper overall functioning of all departments at Mountains Community Hospital after weekday hours when department managers are off work and on weekends. A Hospital Supervisor assigned during regular weekday hours supports the operations of all departments in cooperation with the Department Managers. *During these weekday hours, the Department Managers have ultimate responsibility for their departments.* Authority to perform duties is delegated from Department Managers and Senior Management, and congruent with the State of California Nursing Practice Act. Utilizes independent judgement to manage and supervise nursing, hospital and District operations on assigned shift. Coordinates logistics involved in providing patient care including admissions, outpatient procedures, responding to patient complaints, providing service recovery, and ensuring care is delivered in a patient & family centered delivery model. Maintains staffing levels that promote efficient, economically responsible and quality patient care. Responsible for activities to maximize patient flow. Functions as an onsite administrative representative, in absence of hospital administrators. Must have in-depth knowledge of departmental and organizational policies as well as state and federal regulations. Performs job responsibilities in a manner that supports the mission and values of the organization at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES•	Supervises operations of the hospital while on shift including coordination of patient care, staff development and management, regulatory compliance, policy enforcement, and ensuring standards of nursing practice are met.•	Acts as a clinical resource for staff.•	Upholds Human Resource policies including those related to staff breaks and lunches.•	Anticipates potential problems and intervenes to minimize adverse impacts. Independently manages the resolution of issues that arise during the course of the shift. Independently executes and manages decisions in the absence of the hospital administrator and/or Department Manager. Determines the need to contact the Administrator on call and/or Department Manager.•	Ensures that patient care is delivered in a manner that supports the Mission and Values of the hospital and promotes quality improvement, patient centered care, and interdepartmental/ interdisciplinary collaboration.•	Demonstrates professionalism, leadership, effective communication, and initiative in all job responsibilities and all duties.QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED •	Active and unencumbered State of California Registered Nursing license •	Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificate •	Telemetry certificate within 6 months of hire  EDUCATION PREFERRED •	Bachelor's degree in related field •	Master's degree in related field MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED •	Critical Care experience/ ED Experience EXPERIENCE PREFERRED •	Nursing management or other nursing leadership experience   $48.00-63.00 + Applicable Differentials
