Position: Hotel Chief Engineer Job Description: The Hotel Chief Engineer is responsible for administering, directing, and controlling the operation of the Engineering department. Responsible for maintaining a safe, appealing, and efficient Engineering Department.Required Skills and Requisites:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">*High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent * Experience in Maintenance Engineering and basic carpentry.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Preferred HAVC certified.</li></ul>Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Provides an adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and materials for the department.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Consistently enforces hotel and company policies and procedures.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Schedules and conducts monthly department meetings.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Attends and participates in weekly staff meetings.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Maintains all hotel emergency systems and standards.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Maintains a working knowledge of all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Solicits and administers all sub-contract work, when needed.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Produces annual operating budget for payroll, expenses, utilities and capital improvements.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Operates all areas within budgeted guide lines.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Establishes and maintains an efficient inventory and purchasing system.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Requires three quotes before approval for all hotel expenses.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Maintains a professional image at all times.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Acts as a resource for all departments of the hotel.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Maintains accurate records of all Preventive Maintenance completed.</li><li style="color:#333333;line-height:normal">Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
