The ideal candidate will bring a combination of (1) wildfire suppression, prevention, inspection, or mitigation experience with a public firefighting or land management agency—such as a local fire department, CAL FIRE, the U.S. Forest Service, or the Bureau of Land Management—and (2) an environmental planning background, including experience preparing or reviewing planning documents, technical studies, or environmental compliance documents. Direct experience with a public firefighting or land management agency—such as a local fire department, CAL FIRE, the U.S. Forest Service, or the Bureau of Land Management—in wildfire suppression, prevention, inspection, investigation, fuels management, defensible space, code enforcement, or fire marshal functions.
