As a part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we engage a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers. What you will be doing:<ul><li>Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals.</li><li>Answer phones and manage voicemail.</li><li>Escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the work area.</li><li>Handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions.</li><li>Assist wait staff and bus staff as needed.</li><li>Help with BEOs for private functions.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul>What we are looking for:<ul><li>No prior experience required.  Prior hospitality experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Guests can enjoy IHOP’s world-famous breakfast favorites and Applebee’s craveable casual dining and bar offerings, all in one convenient location. 3. Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities: Greets (both arriving and departing) and seats all guests in a friendly manner and assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.Specific Functions and Duties:1. Opens door for guests arriving and departing.2. Accommodates any special needs of guests i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.3. Manages the wait list when the restaurant is full.4. Provides guest assistance to servers as needed.5. Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned.6. Fills out the feature board.7. Answers incoming phone calls on multi-line phone system in a friendly professional manner. Provides information to guests and forwards calls to appropriate restaurant personnel.Qualification Standards:1. Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.2. Mobility required during the entire shift.3. Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.4. Must possess and/or obtain a valid Food Handlers Card prior to employment.Physical Requirements:1. Must be able to stand and exert a well-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length.2.
