Facilitates patient safety investigations, such as Root Cause Analyses (RCA), Apparent Cause Analyses (ACA), Common Cause Analyses (CCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), significant events, errors, and near misses; ensures timely completion of investigations, implementation of corrective actions, and ongoing evaluation of improvement strategies to prevent recurrence. Selects, hires, manages, evaluates, mentors, and facilitates the professional development of staff and provides leadership, training, mentoring, and oversight to Patient Safety Coordinators, including guidance related to serious safety events, complex investigations, and escalated cases.
