Serving as the lead consultant and primary point of contact, this role provides strategic guidance and oversight across all aspects of client service. This individual independently prepares applications, specifications, and marketing strategies for the renewal of assigned accounts with minimal supervision. The Senior Account Executive supports middle market clients and may manage large, complex accounts involving significant premiums and multifaceted insurance programs, requiring a high level of technical expertise and consultative judgment. Clients may include organizations within construction, human services, or municipal sectors, each with distinct risk and coverage considerations.</p><p>This is a full‑time role that offers flexibility through a hybrid work schedule from our Albany, Amherst, or Pittsford offices in New York, or our Danbury, CT office. We also offer the opportunity to work fully remote. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. When working remotely, employees must have access to a confidential, uninterrupted workspace and reliable high‑speed internet.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Utilize a consultative approach to manage client relationships and deliver tailored insurance solutions</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships clients and carrier partners through regular communication and client visits</li><li>Negotiates renewal terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.</li><li>Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts with minimal supervision</li><li>Manage the renewal process for assigned clients and ensure timely execution</li><li>Partner with the claims team to support client needs and resolve issues</li><li>Requires expertise in multi-line accounts with more complex coverages including retrospective rating plans for large lines of coverage and foreign packages.</li><li>Works within EPIC to ensure policies, endorsements, surplus lines and other details are handled in accordance with NFP workflows</li><li>May direct workflows and daily activities of Coordinators and Account Managers to ensure timely completion of tasks</li><li>Keep clients informed of relevant market trends, carrier updates, and regulatory changes</li></ul><p>Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:</p><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyze and present data</li><li>Self-confident to make sound independent decisions</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across diverse personalities</li><li>Strong leadership and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to analyze and reconcile financial reports</li><li>Problem solving and analytical skills</li><li>Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner</li><li>Experience with surplus lines placements and compliance filings</li></ul><p>Education and/or Experience:</p><ul><li>BA/BS preferred</li><li>More than 10 years industry and product line experience</li></ul><p>Certificates, Licenses, Registration:</p><ul><li>Property & Casualty Brokers License required</li><li>Surplus Lines license and/or demonstrated experience managing surplus lines placements and compliance filings (as applicable by state) preferred</li><li>CIC, CPCU or other P&C designation preferred</li></ul><p>What We Offer:</p><p>Were proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. The base salary range for this position is $56,000 - $125,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location.
