Whether you are a candidate seeking a new opportunity or a bank or company president trying to fill an essential position, The Symicor Group stands ready to deliver premium results for you.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>The Position<br/></strong>Our bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Accounting Manager role in the Poughkeepsie, NY market.</div><ul><li>The successful candidate will oversee the Finance Department.</li><li>This position offers a generous base salary of up to $90K and an excellent benefits package. <strong>(This is a hybrid remote position).</strong></li></ul><div><strong>Accounting Manager responsibilities include:</strong></div><ul><li>Overseeing general bookkeeping duties, managing the general ledger system, profit center accounting, board report preparation, ALM operations, and accounts payable and fixed assets system.</li><li>Monthly reconciliation and monitoring of assigned general ledger accounts.</li><li>Preparing monthly finance board reports for submission a week before the scheduled Board of Trustees meeting.</li><li>Assisting CFO in the preparation, monitoring, and execution of the annual budget.</li><li>Researching and providing reports on historical and budgeted financial data.</li><li>Maintaining accounting manual and GL responsibility list.</li><li>Maintaining and developing GL reports as needed.</li><li>Preparing all calculations on a monthly basis.</li><li>Preparing branch accounting reports and maintenance of customer origination.</li><li>Assisting in coordinating internal and external audits.</li><li>Preparing regulatory reports such as call reports and maintaining adequate work papers.</li><li>ALCO committee chair and taking minutes of ALCO committee meetings.</li><li>Developing and maintaining applicable accounting policies and procedures.</li></ul><div><strong>Who Are You?</strong></div><ul><li>You’re someone who wants to influence your own development.</li><li>You’re looking for an opportunity where you can pursue your interests and your passion.</li><li>Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but merely the starting point for your future.</li></ul><div><strong>You also bring the following skills and experience:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, and/or related degree or experience; MBA preferred.</li><li>Five or more years of finance experience in banking or a related field.</li><li>Must have excellent supervisory skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with organizational skills, customer service experience, and ability to work independently and as a team.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office.</li></ul><div>The next step is yours.
