The Controller directly supervises accounting functions, including Payroll Accounts Receivable, Government Contracts, General Ledger, Senior Accountant and Systems Administration; assists in developing the department budget, certain payroll related costs, investments, and inter-company activity and assists in reviewing the overall ATA budget; and interacts with all ATA staff, other departments, accounting system consultants and vendors, external auditors, banking representatives, investment advisors and actuaries. BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS: Education/Relevant Experience - BS/BA in Accounting or completion of CPA exam required plus 5-7 years' experience in accounting with payroll, budgeting and financial statement experience and prior supervisory experience required.
