As a BIM / Revit Designer in the Vertical Transportation group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Managers and Technical Center Manager, contributing your expertise to multiple projects simultaneously. What makes this opportunity even more enticing is that it can be a fully remote position, making it accessible to applicants from anywhere within the United States.In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:<ul><li>Produce drawings, layouts as needed and offer technical solutions to the Vertical Transportation Design Team.</li><li>Generate various BIM deliverables to clients, including modeling and detailing for project documents for the project teams.</li><li>Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings.</li><li>Complete Revit Project Setup.</li><li>Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately design and coordinate vertical transportation designs. Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team.</li><li>Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintain quality standards and accuracy.</li><li>Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects.</li><li>Provide layouts of vertical transportation including passenger and freight elevators - hydraulic and traction types, escalators, moving walks with supervision from the Technical Center Manager and Project Managers.</li><li>Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work product.</li><li>Determine and document vertical transportation technical data such as dimensions, structural loading, electrical requirements, and equipment heat output.</li><li>Research elevator, building, and applicable codes.</li><li>Generate and improve on growing library of Revit families.</li></ul>Education | Experience:What you'll bring to our firm:<ul><li>Associates / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD.</li><li>Experience in architectural and/or engineering drafting.</li><li>Familiarity with architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering design.</li><li>The ability to read design blueprints.</li><li>BIM Tasks add family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup.</li><li>Experience with Revit/CAD file integration into a project.</li><li>Adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria.</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam Revu.</li><li>Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes a plus.</li><li>Experience at a firm with an ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management System is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>What we prefer you bring:<ul><li>Elevator/Escalator design/drafting experience.</li></ul>Compensation:The salary range for this role is $93,000 - $114,000.
