In this role, you will provide direct legal support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) within the Criminal and Civil Divisions, working on various criminal and civil cases to enhance efforts to combat crime and enforce immigration laws, including overseeing habeas corpus matters, conducting legal research and analysis, drafting legal documents and correspondence, and keeping abreast of applicable federal, state, and local laws and procedures. The United States Attorney's Office serves as the nation's principal litigators under the direction of the Attorney General, responsible for the prosecution of criminal cases, prosecution and defense of civil cases, and collection of debts owed the Federal Government.
