We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Field Infrastructure Technician to support onsite installations and service for small-to-mid-sized businesses across Eastern North Carolina and occasional out-of-state projects. Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation (out of state candidates must acquire in state license before beginning work).

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Field Infrastructure Technician to support onsite installations and service for small-to-mid-sized businesses across Eastern North Carolina and occasional out-of-state projects.This role is travel-focused and physically hands-on. If you prefer primarily desk-based or remote IT work, this position will not be a good fit.Requirements<h3> Primary Responsibilities</h3><ul><li> Travel to client sites for equipment installations and service </li><li> Install and mount network switches, wireless access points, and related hardware </li><li> Pull and terminate network cable; test and verify cable runs </li><li> Assist with rack organization and structured cabling projects </li><li> Deploy workstations (physical setup, power, network connection, verification) </li><li> Replace UPS batteries and test power systems </li><li> Perform basic hardware troubleshooting onsite </li><li> Clearly communicate with clients while onsite </li><li> Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when needed </li></ul><h3> What This Role Is NOT</h3><ul><li> A remote helpdesk role </li><li> A cybersecurity analyst role </li><li> A senior systems administrator position </li><li> Primarily desk-based IT support </li></ul>This is a field-driven, travel-based role focused on infrastructure deployment and configuration.<h3> Technical Experience That Helps</h3><ul><li> Experience with low-voltage cabling or structured wiring </li><li> Familiarity with network equipment installation </li><li> Basic Windows workstation setup and troubleshooting </li><li> ISP/telecom (VoIP NOT Analog) or field service experience </li><li> Comfort working with tools and ladders </li></ul>You do NOT need to be a systems engineer to succeed here.<h3> Qualifications</h3><ul><li> Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation (out of state candidates must acquire in state license before beginning work)</li><li> Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 50 lbs </li><li> Strong communication skills </li><li> Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained </li><li> Willingness to travel as required </li></ul><h3> Required With Application</h3>Please include a brief response (3–5 sentences):Describe a hands-on technical project or installation you’ve completed and how you verified it was done correctly.Applications without this response will not be reviewed.BenefitsSalary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefits
