This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the software infrastructure required for the operation and management of satellite ground systems, with a focus on automation, deployment, and monitoring. This is an onsite position in State College, PA, Ft. Meade, MD, or Aurora, CO.What You Will DoThis role involves close collaboration with systems engineers, hardware designers, and other software engineers to deliver reliable and high-performance software solutions. Other responsibilities to anticipate may include:• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Working with multiple engineering disciplines in an agile DevOps environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the software infrastructure, including design documents, user manuals, and system administration guides.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to engineers needing infrastructure assistance.
• Define, develop, and prototype software scripts, virtualization environments, and cloud environments.
• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the software infrastructure by identifying and implementing enhancements and optimizations.
• Design and implement software infrastructure for satellite ground systems including the development of tools, applications, and frameworks needed for system operation and data processing.
• Provide software infrastructure expertise for bids on future development activities.QualificationsYou Must HaveActive and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date with the adjudication date less than three years ago from your starting date for this position.
