The role of the Certified Technician is to diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.</li><li>Work with the Parts Department to ensure the correct parts are ordered and timeline of when they will be received</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must have dealership experience</li><li>Safe driving record & valid in-state drivers license</li><li>Applicants must maintain their Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification</li><li>5+ years experience as an automotive technician</li><li>Advanced engine and electrical knowledge/experience</li><li>Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance</li><li>Fast, eager learner and team player</li><li>Computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies</li><li>Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment</li><li>Excellent organizational and customer service skills</li></ul>

<h2>Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician</h2>Thompson Engineering is seeking qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians for multiple locations. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of construction materials testing and inspection activities on active construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. Ideal candidates will demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel across multi-states to various job sites as needed.<hr/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform field testing of construction materials using a 40-pound nuclear density gauge</li><li>Obtain concrete samples from ready-mix trucks and prepare concrete test cylinders</li><li>Conduct concrete testing and transport samples to the laboratory for further analysis</li><li>Collect, document, and deliver soil samples from job sites to the laboratory</li><li>Observe construction activities and accurately record performance data</li><li>Perform visual inspections of reinforcing steel (rebar)</li><li>Maintain detailed daily field diaries documenting project activities</li><li>Prepare and submit daily reports and required documentation to the Team Leader in accordance with project specifications</li><li>Ensure quality and quantity standards are met on all assigned work</li><li>Proactively review project documents and testing procedures to understand technical requirements</li><li>Communicate professionally and ethically with clients, contractors, and team members</li><li>Maintain company-owned equipment in safe, proper working condition</li><li>Report any required corrective actions to the Team Leader to ensure work quality meets company standards</li><li>Follow all written procedures, company policies, and safety requirements</li><li>Complete field activities and reports accurately and in a timely manner</li><li>Perform all duties in a professional, ethical manner</li></ul><hr/><h3>Additional Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Establish personal goals for continuous improvement and job performance</li><li>Maintain reliable, punctual, and regular attendance</li><li>Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and training programs</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><hr/><h3>Qualifications</h3><h4>Minimum Requirements</h4><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum of six (6) months of construction materials testing experience</li><li>ACI Level I Certification (or ability to obtain)</li><li>Nuclear Gauge Certification</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing</li><li>Valid driver's license</li><li>Ability to read and write in English</li><li>Willingness to travel to various job sites as required</li><li>Level and compensation commensurate with experience</li></ul><hr/><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime as required by operational needs</li><li>Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds</li><li>Ability to safely operate a company vehicle</li><li>Ability to push or pull up to 400 pounds using a wheelbarrow</li><li>Ability to walk, stoop, bend, climb stairs and ladders</li><li>Ability to work on uneven terrain including concrete, gravel, dirt, and grass</li><li>Ability to work at elevated heights and in open structures</li><li>Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions</li><li>Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)</li></ul><hr/><h3>About Thompson Engineering</h3>Founded in 1953, Thompson Engineering provides quality assurance and professional services for construction projects supporting industrial, infrastructure, and community development.
