Specific duties will include but not be limited to performing project field inspections, preparing monthly/final pay estimates, creating, reviewing, and evaluating supplemental agreements and claims, ensure compliance with both NCDOT and external environmental agency erosion control and permit requirements, resolve constructability issues, and serve as DOT project representative for formal and informal meetings with contractors, utilities, local officials, media, and the general public. This Engineer I position will serve as a project inspector on roadway, utility, and structure projects, supporting higher level technicians and engineers in the administration of construction contracts.
