Their quality team plays a key role in ensuring all products are up to the proper standards before being commercialized. They are currently looking to add a Quality Inspection Specialist to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Quality Inspection Specialist to conduct thorough inspections of finished products, ensuring adherence to established quality and safety criteria prior to release. Responsibilities of the Quality Inspection Specialist:<ul><li> Perform detailed inspections of finished goods, including evaluation of product attributes and packaging integrity. </li><li> Verify accuracy of labeling, fill levels, and lot/expiry code information. </li><li> Ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. </li><li> Analyze inspection data to support product release decisions. </li><li> Conduct basic physical and chemical measurements as needed. </li><li> Maintain quality records and assist with quality system documentation. </li><li> Manage sample retention and coordinate sample handling with external manufacturing partners. </li><li> Communicate inspection outcomes to relevant internal and external parties. </li><li> Utilize spreadsheet tools to record and analyze quality metrics. </li><li> Contribute to ongoing quality process improvements. </li></ul>Required Experience/Skills for the Quality Inspection Specialist:<ul><li> At least 2 years of relevant inspection experience in personal care or related industries. </li><li> Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities. </li><li> Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration. </li><li> Familiarity with quality management principles and documentation practices. </li><li> Proficient in Excel spreadsheet software for data tracking. </li><li> Ability to work both independently and in coordination with external partners. </li><li> Eagerness to learn and adapt within a team environment. </li></ul>Preferred Experience/Skills for the Quality Inspection Specialist:<ul><li> Experience with quality management systems. </li></ul>Education Requirements:<ul><li> Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required. </li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li> Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility (including healthcare plans, discount programs, and paid time off). </li></ul>About Atrium:What you do matters. This involves working closely with our production and design teams to identify potential quality issues, develop and implement quality control procedures, and monitor and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Develop and implement quality control procedures in areas such as design, manufacturing, and assembly to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality </li><li>Apply advanced knowledge of GD&T and engineering principles to ensure precision and inspectability </li><li>Direct the interpretation of inspection and validation data to verify compliance with engineering and quality standards </li><li>Work closely with production teams to identify potential quality issues and develop solutions to resolve them </li><li>Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure that products are designed with quality in mind </li><li>Conduct audits and inspections of products and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations </li><li>Work with suppliers to ensure that their products meet our quality standards </li><li>Lead problem-solving initiatives using advanced root cause analysis and statistical techniques to drive long-term process improvements </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and improve operating procedures, resolve complex technical challenges, and provide authoritative guidance </li><li>Mentor and train junior staff in quality control best practices, process design, and problem-solving methods </li><li>Provide strategic input to leadership on long-term quality control capabilities and investments </li><li>Analyze data on quality metrics such as defect rates and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement </li><li>Support regulatory quality assurance audits </li></ul>EDUCATION:<ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.  </li><li>Equivalent combination of advanced education and directly relevant professional experience may be considered as an alternative  </li></ul>  SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>7+ years of experience in quality engineering or related field </li><li>Advanced proficiency in CMM programming and process validation </li><li>Experience with quality control procedures and methodologies </li><li>Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data </li><li>Advanced proficiency in metrology </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to quality control </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Experience working in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or other quality-regulated environments </li><li>Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior engineers/technicians </li><li>Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels</li></ul>
