This is physical, hands-on work -- you'll spend your days in hot attics during the summer and in tight spaces like crawl spaces, so comfort working in those conditions is essential. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their craft -- air sealing tight, insulating clean, verifying their own results with a blower door, and standing behind every job they finish. You'll work day-to-day in the field, keep your own work to standard, and help bring up newer technicians as you grow with us. FIELD WORK & INSTALLATION<ul><li>Perform hands-on air sealing and insulation work, including blow-in and dense-pack insulation, air sealing, and weatherization.</li><li>Run blower door tests and diagnostics to verify your own air-sealing results before and after work.</li><li>Participate in daily on-site activities, ensuring your work progresses according to schedule and the daily plan.</li></ul>OWNING YOUR OWN WORK<ul><li>Check your own work against company, program, and code standards before leaving each job -- you own the quality of what you install.</li><li>Catch and correct your own deficiencies on the spot rather than leaving them for callbacks.</li><li>Document your completed work with photos, readings, and required sign-offs for every job.</li></ul>CREW LEADERSHIP & COORDINATION<ul><li>Act as crew leader when required, training and mentoring new technicians on technique, safety, and quality.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure alignment and efficiency.</li><li>Resolve on-site issues promptly and efficiently, minimizing disruptions to the schedule.</li></ul>ADMINISTRATION<ul><li>Invoice your completed jobs accurately in Oracle NetSuite, ensuring billing matches the work performed.</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONSMust-Have<ul><li>Hands-on experience in air sealing, insulation, weatherization, or building performance work.</li><li>Proficiency with blower door testing and diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Working knowledge of air sealing, blow-in/dense-pack insulation methods, and home energy efficiency principles.</li><li>Takes pride in their craft and stands behind the quality of their own work.</li><li>Valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record.</li><li>Reliable, organized, and comfortable with digital documentation (photos, readings, logs).</li></ul>Nice-to-Have<ul><li>BPI Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, or comparable certification.</li><li>Familiarity with PSEG or other NJ utility weatherization program requirements and inspection criteria.</li><li>Experience invoicing or job-tracking in Oracle NetSuite (or a comparable ERP/CRM).</li><li>OSHA 10/30, lead-safe (RRP), or other relevant safety credentials.</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus for crew leadership.</li></ul> Compensation & Benefits:<ul><li>Full-time position.</li><li>Hourly wage: $25.00 - $32.00, based on experience.</li><li>Paid holidays and vacation time.</li><li>Health benefits include IBC Medical Insurance and MetLife Dental.</li><li>Company vehicle or vehicle allowance for field work.</li><li>Paid training, certifications, and a clear path into lead and supervisory roles.</li><li>Steady, year-round pipeline of utility-program and residential work.</li></ul> Why Join Synergy3?At Synergy3, we provide a supportive and engaging environment for our team members.  We have several open positions for field techs.  Full time work installing energy saving measures in residential homes.  The installations include caulking, foaming, weatherstripping, batt insulation, cellulose insulation, fiberglass insulation, exhaust fans, LED lighting, replacement doors, and more. We are willing to train good candidates.  Must be able to pass background checks. Good driving history and the ability to drive a box truck ++.
