Write new business in a quick, timely, and accurate manner • Collaborate with Risk Advisors to determine markets and coverages needed • Receive marketing applications for commercial lines accounts • Validate and update information within received applications to ensure accurate carrier submissions • Analyze and review quotes and coverages from carriers for accuracy • Create and distribute marketing proposals to sales staff, and bind coverage as necessary • Proactively manage the marketing process and meet deadlines to ensure client and Risk Advisor satisfaction • Exercise independent judgment and discretion to meet client needs • Transition new business accounts to the Account Manager and update internal systems to reflect accounts as sold and input clear directions to the Account Manager for smooth transition • Enter activity and other relevant information into the companys software system(s) in accordance with company procedures • Provide support and knowledge to sales and service staff throughout the marketing process • Understand and promote value-added services available through North Risk Partners (i.e., professional consulting, webinars/seminars, communications, tools, etc.) • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with carriers and company contacts • Attend and actively participate in agency service training meetings • Analyze trends and advancements in the insurance industry, as well as changes to the regulatory climate for businesses and the industry overall • Follow all federal and state regulations and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions • Mentor new marketing team members by guiding them on marketing methods while operating in alignment with the companys mission and values • Continue professional development by pursuing and maintaining professional designations. • Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently • Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization • Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer • Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day • Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels • Must possess valid driver's license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime and potential evenings/weekends for events and meetings as needed.
