Political Affairs Internship: The role focuses on making poverty a focus of U.S., Canadian and U.K. foreign policy. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote internship. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks. . Responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.</li><li>Meeting with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency.</li><li>Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.</li><li>Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.</li><li>Mobilizing individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.</li><li>Speaking to groups, classes and organizations.</li><li>Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.</li></ul> Experience: No prior experience is necessary, we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPAs/background. Details: This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available. Start Date: New programs begin every month, you choose the month you wish to start.

At the Sanctuary at Solid Rock, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue your passion for animal care while mentoring the next generation.   Your Role: As a Veterinarian at the Sanctuary at Solid Rock, you will:<ul><li>Provide compassionate care to a diverse array of animals, including domesticated, exotics and farm animals.  Exotics refers to class 3 wildlife which includes hedgehogs, chinchillas, small monkeys, etc.   If there are some you are not experiended with, that is ok!  We also have another Vet who comes once a month and has plenty of experience with them too.  </li><li>Participate in community outreach programs and clinics to provide veterinary services to rescue partners and school families.  Things like vaccine climics, spay and nueter clinics.  </li><li>Collaborate with a dedicated team who share your commitment to animal welfare and community service.</li><li>Teach and mentor S.A.V.E. students as they shadow your day-to-day activities, helping to educate and inspire future veterinarians.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.</li><li>Active State Veterinary Board License in good standing in Florida.</li><li>DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure.</li><li>Experience or interest in working with a wide range of animals, including domesticated, farm, exotics.</li><li>Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude</li><li>The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members</li><li>Patience with high school students SAVE student and volunteers  </li></ul>Commitment to Our Values: We are a cruelty-free and plant-based campus, and we highly encourage Veterinarians who are plant-based, vegan, or vegetarian to apply.
