Best of all, it's a place where everyone is welcome. Position Overview Provide hospitality and event support to the Events Department. Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Work directly with the Events Department to plan and execute client, internal and special events. This includes but is not limited to the following events: <ul><li>Fundraisers: Art of Wine This position will manage a designated sector of the fundraiser from start to finish, including planning, on site execution, and post event reporting. </li><li>Internal Events: Volunteer Appreciation Night, ARTeacher and AWE Summer Institute </li><li>Broadway Add-Ons: Cocktail Classes </li><li>Client Events: Weddings Banquets </li></ul>As a part of the team your role will execute the following functions:<ul><li> Participating in the planning and execution of events. </li><li>Attend any meetings or client walkthroughs with Events Team while in office. </li><li> Sourcing and purchasing event supplies. </li><li>Attending and working shows or events. </li><li>Communicating in a timely manner. </li><li>Maintain professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, and patrons. </li><li>Research event industry trends and report on them at the end of the semester. </li><li>Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. </li><li>Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines. </li><li>Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures </li></ul>Requirements Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Must have reliable mode of transportation to attend events. </li><li>Must be available to work 15-20 hours/week which includes evenings and weekends. </li><li>High school diploma or GED required </li><li>Must be 21 years of age </li></ul>The work environment as well as the intellectual, social, and physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Interns are encouraged to apply for class credit through their university.
