STARTING JUNE 1 2026*** Opportunity Summary:Flat River Minerals ("FRM") is a dynamic and growth-focused firm managing a diverse portfolio of mineral, royalty, and non-op assets. FRM is seeking outgoing, motivated, and competitive individuals for a summer internship, designed for junior and senior students in relevant programs. This internship provides a hands-on introduction to mineral and royalty acquisitions, negotiation strategies, and industry fundamentals.Ideal candidates enjoy building relationships, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and aren’t deterred by rejection. This is an exciting opportunity to develop critical negotiation skills while working closely with an experienced acquisitions team. High-performing interns may be offered full-time employment after graduation.<hr/> Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Research county records to confirm mineral/royalty ownership.</li><li>Research and verify mineral owner contact information via third-party platforms.</li><li>Utilize proprietary software to manage leads, track performance, and coordinate with the in-house team.</li><li>Conduct high-volume outreach via calls, emails, and mail to mineral interest owners.</li><li>Negotiate mineral and royalty transactions under the guidance of experienced specialists.</li></ul><hr/>Compensation Benefits:<ul><li>$20/hour plus acquisition-based bonuses</li><li>Hands-on experience in negotiations and deal structuring</li><li>Mentorship and training from experienced acquisition professionals</li><li>Opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation for top-performing interns</li></ul><hr/>Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Junior or senior standing in a relevant field (Energy Land Management, Sales, Business, Finance, or related discipline)</li><li>Strong ability to meet daily and weekly goals in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Detail-oriented, process-driven, and highly self-motivated</li><li>Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Resilient in the face of rejection and high-volume outreach</li><li>Ability to quickly learn and apply new software technologies</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word</li></ul><hr/>Why Join Flat River Minerals?FRM is a fast-moving, results-oriented company that values initiative, adaptability, and strong negotiation skills.
