The program is tailored to provide valuable insights, mentorship, and practical experience that align with your career goals. <h3>* THIS REQUISITION IS FOR ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS ONLY*</h3><h3>SimVentions DoD SkillBridge Internship Program</h3>Exploring the Benefits of the DOD SkillBridge Program The Department of Defense SkillBridge program is an exceptional opportunity for service members to develop valuable civilian work experience via industry-specific training, apprenticeships, or internships. This program connects transitioning service members with industry partners for genuine job experiences during the last 180 days of service. This program is a win-win for both service members and industry partners. Service members gain the opportunity to work in civilian career fields, while industry partners have access to the world's most highly trained and motivated workforce at no cost. During the program, service members will continue to receive their military compensation and benefits, while industry partners provide the civilian training and work experience. Assist Your Members Transitioning from Active Duty with DOD SkillBridge As an installation or unit commander with service members preparing to transition from active duty, it's essential to bridge the gap between their military and civilian careers. By allowing SkillBridge participation with reputable employers, commanders can help ease the military-to-civilian transition period for their members. Permissive Duty for Service Members with Industry Partners Service members can receive up to 180 days of permissive duty, with written authorization from their chain of command, to focus exclusively on training with approved industry partners. These industry partners provide practical training and valuable work experience, as well as assess the service member's potential for future employment. 

Clearance:
Active security clearance is required.

Requirements:
<ul><li>Currently serving as an Active Duty military service member and eligible for the SkillBridge program.</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.</li><li>Eagerness to learn, grow, and apply military experiences to a civilian career path in the fields of Technology and Innovation, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, and Cybersecurity </li></ul>

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities during the internship will be unique to the candidate based on their experience and career goals; however, the following can be expected of each SkillBridge intern. <ul><li>Assist with daily operations and support cross-functional teams.</li><li>Contribute to the completion of projects, including research, analysis, and reporting.</li><li>Participate in team meetings, offering input and suggestions based on your background and expertise.</li><li>Gain experience in specific technologies, tools, or processes relevant to the role.</li><li>Build and enhance professional skills in areas such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving.</li></ul> 

Preferred Skills and Experience:
STEM degree is preferred but not required.

Compensation:
The SkillBridge program is a capstone training experience that allows service members to gain civilian work experience during the last 180 days of their service. Industry partners provide the training and work experience, while the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) continues to pay the service member's salary and benefits.

After three months, this position has the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. What does a typical day look like for the Part-time Entry-Level Project Accountant?You will:<ul><li>Track project budgets, actuals, and forecasts.</li><li>Assist with maintaining state tax
 compliance and review travel reports.</li><li>Ensure costs are allowable, allocable, and
 reasonable per FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost Accounting
 Standards).</li><li>Maintain compliance with agency-specific guidelines
 (e.g., DCAA, DFARS).</li><li>Support audits and ensure audit-ready documentation.</li><li>Prepare and submit invoices in accordance with the
 contract (T&M, CPFF, FFP, etc.).</li><li>Reconcile billed vs. actual costs.</li><li>Interface with government payment systems (e.g.,
 Wide Area Workflow (WAWF)).</li><li>Reconcile labor costs with timesheets and labor

 analysis.</li><li>Set up new projects in the accounting system
 according to contract terms.</li><li>Ensure proper closeout of projects—final invoices,
 audit support, and documentation archiving.</li><li>Generate internal financial reports and external
 reports for government agencies.</li><li>Provide project managers with real-time financial
 data to support decision-making.</li><li>Assist in preparing for and responding to DCAA or
 agency financial audits.</li><li>Maintain detailed records to ensure traceability and
 compliance.</li></ul>   What qualifications do you look for?You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:<ul><li>Bachelor's
 Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.</li><li>A minimum of
 one (1) year of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, or

 understanding of accounting principles and financial management within complex
 organizations.</li><li>Proficiency
