<ul><li>Job Title: Summer 2026 - Retail Intern</li><li>Entity: The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge</li><li>Reports To: Retail Coordinator</li><li>Pay Range: $10/hr.</li><li>Location: Pigeon Forge, TN</li><li>Anticipated Start Date: Immediate</li><li>End Date: August 16, 2026</li></ul>Overview:As a successful Retail Intern, you will be responsible for assisting with the management and operations of the on-site retail store at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is a paid internship; we will work with your college/university for you to receive college credit towards your graduation. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in retail management, merchandising, inventory management, and customer service within a high energy sports environment. This summer internship will operate from through August 16, 2026.Responsibilities:As our Retail Intern, you will work directly under the Retail Coordinator. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>Efficiently process sales transactions using a POS system.</li><li>Maintain a high level of customer service, assisting customers both on and off the sales floor.</li><li>Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise on the sales floor, assist with reordering when needed.</li><li>Support merchandising efforts by creating visually appealing displays and signage while maintaining a clean and organized retail environment.</li><li>Support the retail coordinator with employee scheduling, hiring, and training practices.</li><li>Assist in creating and implementing in-store promotions and events in order to boost sales.</li><li>Provide feedback and suggestions regarding market trends, merchandise assortment, and retail organization.</li><li>Assist our Food and Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager, and Operations Staff as needed.</li><li>Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for tournament participants.</li><li>Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>College student seeking credit or recent college graduate seeking work experience</li><li>Prior experience in a customer service environment</li><li>Outgoing and friendly personality, strong initiative, and high-energy</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve</li><li>Ability to multi-task, efficient time-management skills</li><li>Commitment to work long hours, including weekends, depending on business needs</li><li>Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude</li><li>Reliable transportation</li></ul>The information in this job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected from team members in this role.
