This role includes performing tasks related to receiving, processing, and distributing materials; operating stock cutting machines; inspecting and packaging items for shipment; and shipping finished product.</p><h3>Responsibilities Include:</h3><ul><li>Set-Up and operate stock cutting machines to specified dimensions.</li><li>Pull and cut material from inventory to fulfill production needs.</li><li>Scan material into Work-in-Process (WIP) and return material to the Point of Use Racks.</li><li>Ensure Point of Use racks (including the Wire Pit) are stocked with required materials and fiber; replenish as needed.</li><li>Fulfill requirements in General Products by inspecting the Pick List Holding Board.</li><li>Weigh and verify material being returned to inventory using the counting scale and scan back into Raw Materials (RM).</li><li>Perform cycle counts.Check the daily shipping sheet and ensure items to be shipped are in place.</li><li>Verify all purchase orders, part numbers, and quantities against shipment items.</li><li>Pick up product at designated locations and deliver to finished goods or prepare for shipping.</li><li>Pull approved brushes from Quality Control (QC) if necessary.</li><li>Create and print labels for proper identification of product. Scale, weigh, seal, and attach labels to cartons.</li><li>Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments against bills of lading, packing lists, or travelers.</li><li>Wrapping and double-checking items and counts. Preparing all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner.</li><li>Weighting all cartons, calculating shipping weight (by pallet or carton), and posting weights/shipping charges; affixing postage. Making arrangements for pick-up by the carrier per customer requirements.</li><li>Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times, replenishing from the warehouse as needed.</li><li>Receive incoming product and materials. Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, packing lists, or travelers.</li><li>Get supplies and finished goods from the warehouse as requested.</li><li>Proper operation of equipment, including manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and/or forklift, to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.</li></ul><h3>Benefits and Compensation</h3><ul><li><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> The expected hourly wage is <strong>$22 - $25/hr</strong>. Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.</li><li><strong>Benefits:</strong> We offer comprehensive benefits to include health insurance and an incentive recognition bonus (all benefits are based on eligibility).</li></ul><h3>Skills/Qualifications:</h3><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED; minimum of <strong>six months Material Handling experience in a manufacturing environment</strong> or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Must have or be able to be trained to obtain a <strong>forklift and electric pallet jack certificate or license</strong>.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; effective one-on-one and small group communication.</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li><li>Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with required forms used by major freight companies.</li><li>Must be familiar with common material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks). </li><li>Experience with UPS / FedEx software is a plus.Export to Sheets</li></ul><h3>Ready to Apply?</h3><p>Are you ready to make a difference as a <strong>Shipping and Inventory Clerk</strong>?
