Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Iron Workers for projects located in the Arlington, VA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-35/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Iron Worker and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!  Job Scope:         <ul><li>Install steel frame including columns, beams, joists and decking </li><li>Assist in concrete precast installation including panels, stairs, beams, wall systems, shims, bearing pads </li><li>Install fitment of bolts, braces, tension procedures </li><li>Welding as necessary(SMAW, FCAW, etc) </li><li>Read prints and assist in layout </li><li>Assist in rigging</li></ul>

Requirements:
<ul><li>OSHA 10 or 30 preferred</li></ul>

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking and fabrication techniques, with the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various fabrication tools and machinery. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will contribute to the production of high-quality components used in various applications.What you'll do<ul><li>Ability to operate the following machine shop equipment:</li><li></li><li>HAAS CNC Mills (willing to train right candidate)</li><li></li><li>Lathe</li><li></li><li>Drill Press</li><li></li><li>Band saw</li><li></li><li>Iron Worker</li><li></li><li>Media blasting</li><li></li><li>Pedestal grinder</li><li></li><li>Miller Tig welder</li><li></li><li>Miller Mig welder</li><li></li><li>Miller Plasma Cutter</li><li></li><li>Angle Grinder</li><li>Painting quality finishes on various materials.</li><li>Hot Coat Powder Coat System.</li><li>Use various hand tools for dimensionally checking parts such as but not limited to calipers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, countersink indicators.</li><li>Use of basic Hand and power tools to complete tasking.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Accredited trade school diploma may be substituted for two years industrial experience.</li><li>Three years machine shop or related experience.</li><li>Experience in low quantity high diversity parts such as brackets, heatsinks, and electrical enclosures.</li><li>Experience TIG welding Aluminum.</li><li>Background in fabricating and welding.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings and requirements.</li><li>Ideal candidate will be able to perform (or willing to learn) each step of the build process from stock cutting, machining, bending, welding, hardware install, and painting.</li><li>Creativity of fixturing parts for machining and welding.</li><li>Cross check other team members parts as needed.</li><li>Familiar with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to organize, present, and articulate ideas both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Knowledge of MS Office.</li><li>Safe lifting technique and ability to lift at least 50 pounds.</li><li>Ability to stand, sit, bend or lift for long periods of time.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with 3D cad software.</li><li>Experience with CNC machine operation or programming.</li></ul>US Hourly Range$35 - $40 / hourLocation:On-Site - Clarksburg, MDOccasional travel may be required.Occasional night and weekend work may be required.The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors.
