This position is responsible for shop fabrication and assembly, equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and safe material handling while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and quality expectations. What You Need to Be Successful<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Minimum 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, fabrication, or related manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with MIG, TIG, or stick welding.</li><li>Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.</li><li>Working knowledge of shop equipment including lathe, mill, saw, and iron worker.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.</li><li>Basic knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and general industrial safety standards.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings preferred.</li><li>Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in mechanical and fabrication work.</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong attention to detail.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Assemble, clean, test, calibrate, and prepare sold and supplied customer equipment.</li><li>Build pumps, gas pumps, KB units, and related plant and customer equipment to specification.</li><li>Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding for fabrication, weld assembly, equipment repair, and plant maintenance.</li><li>Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical and structural components.</li><li>Set up and operate shop equipment including iron worker, saw, lathe, and mill.</li><li>Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rework customer and plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance within assigned areas and communicate issues or repair needs to management.</li><li>Clean, clear, and service equipment as necessary to maintain operability, following lockout/tagout procedures.</li><li>Prepare finished equipment for shipment, including palletizing, crating, and verifying accuracy and quality standards.</li><li>Load and unload trucks and trailers using appropriate material handling equipment.</li><li>Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, tractors, and cranes (crane operation with managerial oversight for rigging and lifting).</li><li>Assist with general facility maintenance including minor plumbing, yard upkeep, and rail spur maintenance.</li><li>Support fleet vehicle maintenance with minor mechanical tasks such as battery replacement, lights, doors, and windows.</li><li>Assist with operation and maintenance of rental equipment as assigned.</li><li>Support chemical spill response and cleanup using appropriate equipment and procedures.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.</li><li>Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Support team members</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> What Polytec Offers You Polytec Inc's mission is to provide effective water treatment programs to customers through quality service, products, and technology.
