Under general supervision, functionally supervises, coordinates, monitors and maintains the electrical reliability of the interconnection transmission system operations and activities; ensures the stable and reliable operation of the district's balancing authority and interconnected operating entities bulk electric system; prioritizes, schedules and directs assigned staff in the coordination of the balancing authority and transmission system operations; oversees transmission service agreements with Independent Power Producers (IPP) and is the liaison in matters of district real-time operations with adjacent balancing authorities, Western Electric Coordinating Council (WECC) reliability coordinator and other operating entities. Shift Supervisor Systems Operations Minimum Requirement: Associate's degree in business, economics, engineering, or related field and five years of progressively responsible electric utility operations or transmission service experience of an interconnected electrical system and related equipment.
