DescriptionA Janitor III job in Paterson, WA is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE) based out of our Columbia Crest Winery facility. This role will be cleaning and sanitizing offices, production areas, laboratories, restrooms and common areas as well as appointed out-buildings. Among other duties as assigned, the Janitor III will ensure all safety standards are met in compliance with Federal, State and company policies. This is a full time hourly position. Ste. Michelle, 14 Hands, Columbia Crest, Erath, A to Z Wineworks, REX HILL, Intrinsic, Liquid Light, Northstar, and Spring Valley Vineyard, are enjoyed across the U.S. and distributed in over 100 countries.Janitor III job responsibilities include: <ul><li>Dusting, vacuuming carpeted area</li><li>Wash all drinking fountains with disinfectant</li><li>Dust mop and mop uncarpeted areas</li><li>Trash removal, restocking of paper towel and soap dispensers</li><li>Cleaning kitchens, start dishwasher.</li><li>Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, retail shop and laboratories.</li><li>Keep janitor closet neat and orderly.</li><li>Traveling to and from difference facilities as needed.</li><li>Assist in setting up and cleaning for events, meetings, or special functions.</li><li>Perform deep cleaning tasks periodically, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or scrubbing hard-to-reach areas.</li><li>Recording and notifying safety personnel of hazards</li></ul>Position Requirements:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Must be 21 years.</li><li>Able to read, write speak and understand English. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50lbs</li><li>Physical ability to operate floor scrubber, buffers floor mops, sweeping and dusting with brooms and feather dusters. </li><li>Knowledge of cleaners and how to use them</li><li>Prior cleaning experience</li><li>Available to work Saturdays mornings.</li><li>Must have reliable transportation.</li><li>History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.</li></ul>Your Compensation: $18.21/hr.- $23.67/hr. based upon relevant experience. Summary of RoleThe janitor is responsible for performing custodial duties to ensure that buildings/facilities/venues are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. The Janitor will work closely with the Night Janitorial Lead. Teamwork and a positive attitude with strong work ethics are essential. Must have a smart device and be able to work in the US and be able to pass a background check. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Clean and Care for buildings and facilities to ensure they are maintained according to contractual standards:</li><li>Clean Offices/Meeting Rooms/all accessible spaces</li><li>Sweep, mop and vacuum floors</li><li>Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors and dispensers</li><li>Refill all soap dispensers and restock all paper products</li><li>Empty all garbage and or recycling as required by the contract</li><li>Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, chairs, counters, fixtures and cubicles </li><li>Clean kitchens/sinks/countertops/outside of appliances and or additional cleaning as required by contract</li><li>Follow safety protocols when using cleaning supplies and cleaning chemicals </li><li>Perform all daily, weekly and monthly duties</li><li>Support special projects and quarterly work as assigned</li><li>Perform all duties as assigned </li></ul>Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Secure Storage areas and offices that require to be locked after services are performed</li><li>Ensure Cleaning Materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner</li><li>Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies</li><li>Report on all safety violations, improper usage of company property and environmental concerns</li><li>Report all injuries or incidents to the Night janitor Lead immediately </li><li>Make a note and or notify the Night Janitor Lead of equipment repairs and or replacement as needed</li><li>Notify Night Janitor Lead of any duties that need to be performed outside of your daily scope of work. </li></ul>Required Qualifications and Skills: <ul><li>Ability to Learn New Processes    </li><li>Time Management - Reliable (Attendance)      </li><li>Min 1 year of janitorial experience </li><li>Experience in floor care (Strip and Waxing)</li><li>Valid Driver's License with clean record</li><li>Problem-Solving skills</li><li>Effective verbal and listening skills, attention to detail</li><li>Work with or without direct supervision and team player</li><li>Commitment to excellence and high standards</li></ul>Physical and Sensory Requirements:<ul><li>Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Must be comfortable working at heights and able to safely climb and work from ladders.</li><li>Ability to withstand odors emitted by cleaning materials and chemicals while using proper PPE.</li><li>The successful candidate must acknowledge the risks associated with hazardous chemicals and be willing to review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify hazards to determine</li><li>appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to use.</li></ul><h3>Cleaner/Janitor Job Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Must be able to read product safety data sheets, labels and instructions in English</li><li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must have proven working experience as Cleaner/Janitor</li><li>Must be able to respond and act quickly</li><li>Must have strong communication and multitasking skills</li><li>Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies</li></ul>A Facilities Maintenance Company focused on you!
