Job Summary * Performs general cleaning and maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining hall * Ensures that each staff member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service * Maintains the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen * Performs duties the head cook deems necessary * Assists with food preparation * Assists with cooking * Assists with serving food * Assists with kitchen and dining hall clean-up * Sets table at breakfast and dinner * Helps prepare and set up lunch for visitors to self-pack * Assists with food service * Assists with consolidation and proper food storage after meals * Cleans up after meals and ongoing cleaning to maintain the highest level of sanitation in the kitchen * Washes dishes and returns clean dishes to clean storage * Prepares beverages * Assists with grilling for cookout on weekends * Sweeps and mops floors at end of day * Provides meals for visitors and staff during summer camp programs * Provides assistance to the Head Cook in preparing meals for special diets * Prepares food and cleaning/organizing kitchen and appliancesQualifications EDUCATIONRequired * General knowledge at the high school levelWORK EXPERIENCEPreferred * Food service experienceSKILLSRequired * Good work ethic * Ability to work well on a team * Time management skillsPreferred * Knowledge of food preparationWorking Conditions / Demands This position requires the ability to move heavy objects.
