Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:The Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of designated departments. Assists the Manager in financial, capital and human resources to ensure services meet established quality and productivity standards. Ensures the provision of high-quality services in accordance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for all aspects of personnel management and supervision. Perform laboratory bench assignments as needed.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:<ul><li>Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science </li><li>4 years' Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) laboratory training or experience </li><li>1 year experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities (such as technical lead, coordinator or key operator, leader of special project or committee, primary clinical educator, etc.) in Laboratory Services or a clinical/healthcare setting</li></ul>OR<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology</li><li>2 years' CLIA laboratory training or experience</li><li>1 year experience with progressive responsibilities and demonstrated leadership abilities (such as technical lead, coordinator or key operator, leader of special project or committee, primary clinical educator, etc.) in Laboratory Services or a clinical/healthcare setting.</li></ul>Licensure/ Certification:<ul><li>If highest level of education is associate’s degree: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician</li></ul>Other Skills/ Knowledge:<ul><li>Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively and communicate with patients and other health care professionals.</li><li>High level of professionalism and skillful performance in stressful situations, ability to develop and sustain strong staff and interdepartmental relationships</li><li>Strong analytical and organizational skills necessary to organize and direct the work of others and effectively manage multiple tasks and initiatives</li><li>Moderate proficiency with Microsoft applications and solid computer skills.</li></ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology</li></ul>Licensure/ Certification:<ul><li>American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist</li></ul> OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Laboratory Technician I performs a variety of laboratory testing to aid in the diagnosis of disease. Duties include performing quality control, preventive maintenance on equipment, and minor troubleshooting with referral of complex issues to senior employees. Duties may also include specimen collection, training personnel and students. Independent judgment and professional education and certification are required.

Qualifications:
