The MLT II communicates information as appropriate to authorized personnel and may participate in the performance of routine administrative and non-routine technical functions.Medical Laboratory Technician II Position RequirementsEducation<ul><li>Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related biological science and eligible for certification by an approved agency.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Entry Level</li></ul>Medical Laboratory Technician II Work Schedule<ul><li>The Laboratory is staffed seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day. Personnel may be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day, evening and night shifts. Both options may include weekends.</li><li>Rotational coverage of holidays.</li><li>Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies and unexpected increases in workload.</li><li>May be required to stay past schedule shift or come in early to cover unexpected needs in the department.</li><li>Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.</li></ul>Medical Laboratory Technician II Benefits<ul><li>At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.</li><li>Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union.</li></ul>Salary range: $24.41 - $37.84 Commensurate with experience

This lab position is primarily focused on dosing and filling formulations into their final delivery format, such as vape cartridges, tincture bottles, tablets, soft gels, and other portioned delivery forms.• Package cannabis products following formulation and dosage requirements.
• Operate tablet and soft gel manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out quality control checks on finished products.
• Maintain and update work instructions.
• Perform necessary steps in processing and manufacturing of cannabis materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
• Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
• Performs weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations. Attends safety meetings as required.
• Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
• Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment.
• Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability.
• Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.

Packaging the finished goods into their final packagingStarting union pay is $22.57/hr.What you've accomplished:• 2-year technical degree in automation, packaging, and biomedical technology or related field preferred.
• In lieu of technical degree, minimum of 3 years experience working in regulated environment with automated or semi-automated equipment.
• Previous experience in medical cannabis industry.Physical Demands:Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting scientific and packaging equipment.Work Environment:The job is performed indoors in a traditional laboratory setting. Exposure to chemicals and laboratory agents is expected. Protective safety clothing, goggles, gloves, face masks, or hairnet are required as needed. Must be able to adhere to clean room protocol in designated area.
