Additional responsibilities may include billing and inventory management, equipment selection, validation, and implementation; document control (SOPs); training and competency assessment, quality, and performance improvement initiatives. May perform complex testing.<h3>Qualifications</h3>QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Required: Associate degree or equivalent experience; graduate of an accredited school of medical laboratory technicians or equivalent. The above meets the required criteria as defined by CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing (42 CFR 493.1489, Jan. 24, 2003).Experience:Required: 2 years as a medical laboratory technicianCertifications:Required: Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent).
