Whether it’s running the chop gun, applying flawless gel coat, executing detailed patch and P&I work, color matching, or sanding, your versatility is the engine that keeps our line running. You won't just be filling gaps; you’ll be setting the gold standard for craftsmanship on the shop floor.Why Join Us?<ul><li>No two days are the same; you will utilize your full skill set across the entire shop floor as a critical utility player.</li><li>Work in a clean, safe, and efficient facility that takes pride in world-class 5S workplace organization.</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$24 - $27 / hr</li></ul>Shift<ul><li>1st shift</li></ul><ul><li>Monday - Thursday | 5:00am - 3:30pm</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Versatile Execution: Act as the department's premier floater, seamlessly transitioning between stations to cover high absenteeism or production bottlenecks.</li><li>Technical Lamination: Operate resin spray equipment (chop gun/gun running) and expertly lay and roll fiberglass materials (chop/mat, biaxial, woven fabrics, foam) into decks, hulls, and liners.</li><li>Gel Coat & Color Matching: Apply gel coat with precision, incorporating flake and executing exact color matching for flawless, premium finishes.</li><li>Patch & P&I: Perform expert cosmetic and structural fiberglass patching, alongside thorough prep and inspection (P&I) duties.</li><li>Finishing & Sanding: Shape, cut, grind, sand, and finish fiberglass components to meet stringent luxury marine standards.</li><li>Leading by Example: Set the shop-floor standard for quality, safety, and efficiency, indirectly mentoring the team through your high-level, hands-on craftsmanship.</li><li>Process Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the engineering team to launch new products, navigate custom deviations, and identify ways to improve department efficiency.</li><li>Quality Control: Maintain a sharp eye for both internal and customer-facing quality anomalies, addressing and correcting issues on the spot.</li></ul>RequirementsQualificationsRequired<ul><li>Experience: 5+ years of hands-on lamination experience in the marine industry.</li><li>Versatility: Proven ability to act as a utility player, highly proficient in all major fiberglass processes (gun running, rolling, gel coating, patching, P&I, and sanding).</li><li>Cosmetic Expertise: Strong, demonstrable skills in exacting color matching, flake application, and high-end cosmetic finishing.</li><li>Problem-Solving: Ability to identify structural or cosmetic issues promptly and implement effective, high-quality repairs on the fly.</li><li>Physical Endurance: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working safely with fiberglass materials and chemicals</li></ul>
