The role involves extended periods of standing and walking; frequent bending, reaching, twisting and crouching; repetitive hand and arm movements associated with sorting and folding; and regularly lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling laundry, supplies, equipment and loaded laundry carts. Within the laundry area, employees work around heat and humidity generated by commercial washers, dryers and other equipment, as well as noise, soiled linens, laundry chemicals and wet or slippery surfaces.
