The City Attorney's Office serves as the chief legal advisor for the City of Morro Bay, provides legal advice and representation to the City Council, City Manager, and City departments, and oversees all the City's legal affairs to ensure the City's activities comply with applicable laws and minimizes liability. The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to work with the City Attorney and other staff on projects directed by the City Attorney, including those related to legal research and drafting, public contracting, resolution and ordinance drafting, open meeting laws, code enforcement, and litigation.
