Location: BellinghamSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pmPay Range: $24-32 per hour  About the RoleWe’re seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Paralegal to join our dynamic and fast-paced law firm. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in supporting attorneys across civil litigation, real estate transactions, and corporate matters.If you thrive on managing multiple priorities, enjoy working behind the scenes to keep cases moving forward, and take pride in precision—this opportunity is for you. ⚖️ What You’ll DoCivil Litigation Support<ul><li>Prepare and file pleadings with courts and ensure proper service</li><li>Draft routine filings (Notices, Declarations, Motions, support documents, etc.)</li><li>Track deadlines, court dates, and key milestones (Clio experience a plus!)</li><li>Support trial prep (exhibits, binders, jury instructions)</li><li>Manage discovery (Bates stamping, indexing, organization)</li><li>Coordinate vendors: court reporters, process servers, and more</li><li>Assist with post-judgment procedures, including garnishments</li></ul> Document & Case Management<ul><li>Draft, proofread, and cite-check legal documents</li><li>Maintain organized client files and case notebooks</li><li>Manage document workflows: scanning, printing, distribution</li></ul> Client & Administrative Support<ul><li>Serve as a point of contact for clients and third parties</li><li>Handle scheduling coordination and routine inquiries</li><li>Assist with interviews for potential clients and witnesses</li></ul> Real Estate Support<ul><li>Draft deeds, easements, and excise tax affidavits</li><li>Verify legal descriptions and review property records</li><li>Coordinate with title companies and county offices</li><li>Record and deliver documents to relevant agencies</li></ul> General Support<ul><li>Conduct legal research (Westlaw or similar tools)</li><li>Prepare charts, summaries, and case data</li><li>Maintain organized physical and digital records</li><li>Perform courthouse and agency filings as needed</li></ul>✅ What You Bring<ul><li>Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant (litigation and/or real estate preferred)</li><li>Familiarity with case management systems (Clio preferred)</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>A proactive mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively</li></ul> Why Join Us?<ul><li>Work on diverse, engaging legal matters</li><li>Be part of a collaborative and supportive team</li><li>Gain exposure to litigation, real estate, and corporate work</li><li>Opportunity to grow your legal career in a professional environment</li></ul>  Benefits Available to Eligible Express Associates: Medical Plan Dental Plan Holiday Pay (6 observed days) 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan Vision/Eyewear Plan Life Insurance Prescription Drug Reimbursement Short-Term Disability Referral Bonus of $100.00 for every successful referral Weekly Pay Direct Deposit Visa Cash Card We take walk-in interviews Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM!
