We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of two (2) years of litigation experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial preparation.

The ideal candidate will support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial preparation.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Draft, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence</li><li>E-file documents in state and federal courts</li><li>Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and scheduling</li><li>Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation</li><li>Prepare and organize exhibits, trial binders, and case files</li><li>Maintain case management systems and document databases</li><li>Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel</li><li>Assist with discovery, including document production and review</li><li>Track billable time and assist with billing as needed</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm</li><li>Strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures</li><li>Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)</li><li>Experience with legal case management software preferred</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul><li>Trial preparation experience</li><li>Familiarity with discovery procedures</li><li>Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys</li></ul><h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3><ul><li>Hourly pay ranging from $17.50 to $20.00, depending on experience</li><li>Competitive benefits package (if applicable)</li><li>Professional and supportive work environment   PAY: Position starts at: $17.50/hr. - $20/hr. (Depending on the level of experience) REQUIREMENTS:  Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test. Duties involve the performance of secretarial and clerical tasks related to criminal court proceedings, setting up and maintaining attorney calendars, document management, pulling files for the daily court calendar, and making travel arrangements. Duties also involve screening calls, providing information to the general public, some courtroom attendance, reviewing files, and preparing the appropriate motions and orders. To successfully perform the duties of this position, candidates must have a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, office experience, keyboarding skills and work well in a team environment. Candidates must be highly motivated, extremely organized, and be able to handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion. We are looking for self-starters who accept challenges, work well under pressure, and require minimal supervision after training.
